The main reason that so many tourists flock to Kos during the summer months is not because of the island's museums. Many choose to stay on the beaches for the majority of their holiday, although if you have the time, there are a couple of good museums on Kos, well worth a look.
The Archaeological Museum is one attraction not to be missed and is easy to find, residing in Kos Town and on the centrally located Eleftherios Square (Plateia Eleftherias), and home to a very famous statue of Hippocrates.
